The bull has been a sacred in Minoan Crete, symbolizing fertility, strength and the life-giving power of the sun.
All of the incense holders in this series are formed slowly and entirely by hand, using wild clay sourced in the mountains nearby me, here in Crete. They have been smoked in a ceremonial bonfire which has given each of them unique smoke marks.
